I have spent three months working full-time on ATHOME.AWX2627. The last six weeks, even seven days a week. Creating these style guides and trend books is always a huge task.
In between, I made a short trip to the trade fair in Frankfurt with a preview tucked into a rolling suitcase, to meet some clients. A brief escape, and the first chance to hear their reactions.
Every photo and image in the book is my own. Shot at a fair, edited in Photoshop, or created using AI to visualise ideas.
Each page – 150 in total – features an average of six images. On paper, a ‘collection’ takes shape, with visuals or real materials that harmonise through colour, pattern, or texture.
Eight pages include a colour chart with Pantone TPG swatches. I’ll be reordering those this week, as the first copies have almost all been sold and shipped. Soon, another day of colour and material pasting. It’s a lot of hands-on work... luckily, I have some help!
In the coming period, I’ll be stepping out of my ‘home studio’ again. Time to take my camera on the road to capture fresh images for my next book, ATHOME.SS2027. I couldn’t have picked a better moment – spring has arrived! And then in April, Milan… I can’t wait!

Ik heb drie maanden fulltime gewerkt aan ATHOME.AWX2627. De laatste zes weken zelfs zeven dagen per week. Het is altijd een enorme klus om deze stijlgidsen en trendboeken te maken.
Tussendoor maakte ik een kort uitstapje naar de beurs in Frankfurt met een preview in een rollend koffertje, om een aantal klanten te ontmoeten. Even eruit, en de eerste reacties horen.
Elke foto of elk beeld in het boek is van eigen hand. Geschoten op een beurs, bewerkt in Photoshop of met AI gecreëerd om ideeën te visualiseren.
Elke pagina – 150 in totaal – toont gemiddeld zes beelden. Op papier vormt zich een ‘collectie’ van beelden of echte materialen die samenkomen door kleur, dessin of materiaal.
Acht pagina’s hebben een kleurkaart met opgeplakte stalen: TPG van #Pantone. En die ga ik deze week bijbestellen, want de eerste exemplaren zijn al bijna allemaal verkocht en verstuurd. Binnenkort opnieuw een dag kleuren en materialen plakken. Het is veel handwerk... gelukkig krijg ik hulp!
De komende periode kruip ik weer uit mijn ‘studio thuis’. Ik ga weer met mijn camera op pad om nieuwe beelden te verzamelen voor mijn volgende boek ATHOME.SS2027. Ik had geen beter moment kunnen kiezen , want de lente is begonnen! En dan in april naar Milaan… ik kan niet wachten!
Maar ik trek er ook op uit om hier in Nederland mijn boek bij bedrijven te laten zien. Ben jij ook geïnteresseerd? Laat het me weten. Haal me OP de straat ;-)
